Overview
This course provides contractor and government contracting professionals with an essential understanding and practical guidance for complying with cost and price analysis requirements under federal contracts/subcontracts and the associated audit requirements.
Participants will be provided with specific references to requirements for cost and price analysis related to estimating and purchasing systems of federal contractors including the Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) business system rules. Participants will also be provided government customer requirements identified in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency supplements that can have an impact on their business processes and compliance positions including mandatory DFARS estimating system checklists.
The course will walk through actual applications of price and cost analysis from the customer perspective. Customer requirements and guidance will be applied to a host of contract and subcontract award types under both government to contractor (prime) and contractor to subcontractor (subcontract) scenarios.
Participants will walk away with a comprehensive knowledge of the two techniques, cost and price analysis, a workbook supported with specific examples and question and answers embedded under each type of price and cost analysis technique. This course will benefit cost and price analysts, estimating, purchasing, contracts, legal and general practitioners who are impacted by the effectiveness of federal contractors cost and pricing processes.
